I don't think that's the case for me, but I don't think it's uncommon for those who find themselves in that situation either.
Yes, I feel like I have become more utilitarian and objective in my thinking. This change has helped me become more successful in my professional and personal life. Especially during deployment, feelings being put aside is the best way to go for everyone.
No, I don't feel that way. I've been able to be the same person I've always been, even during deployment. I did see so many people changing quickly, and it just made me sad for them.
Would you say this has helped you? As in, how do you see yourself and your career now? Do you think you chose the right path or have you been rethinking your life?
