Howz 120 base salary , industry in Montreal ????
About to ask for a raise on Friday for the first time in my life! 28 yrs old and worked in the industry for 4 yrs before joining advisory in Jan. Also have an MBA. I'm in the field of operation/supply chain. Already did my research and have a number in mind. Interested in getting your thoughts on this. What do you think it's a reasonable number to pay someone with my background?
Who else needs a drink(s) right now?

The pay. Money isn't everything, but it sure is nice to have options other than Nofrills. 😂
Love the honesty and frankly I’d have been shocked if $ didn’t come up as an answer to this question ;)
I get bored easily. Consulting keeps things interesting because you’re constantly moving clients + project teams
Really enjoy the learning side still - find most weeks I’m in a cool discussion I can’t find anywhere else.
Pay is good. Bad hourly. Good overall.
Lifestyle will drive me away eventually.
The people management aspect & being able to do big picture thinking.

This. It’s still a grind but a different grind than being elbows deep in an excel model. I like brainstorming and ideating solutions that the team can collectively execute.
Honestly? I enjoy working with the people around me. Makes an otherwise grind into something kinda fun.
😭 tbh don’t like much about the role
I liked the challenge, moving on from project and client teams after a few months, amazing flexibility (no one cares what you’re doing, as long as you get it done), remote work, high pay (I am from NYC), having a niche skill set that gives me job protection, smart and cool colleagues, constantly obtaining leading edge knowledge and skills, travel perks. It’s just a fun, ever evolving corporate job compared to most industry jobs which are boring. I like moving on to new challenges too. Not working with the same people for years.
