Leadership books recommendations?
Had a dream that a director on a project took me for a drive to chat. He handed me a book on leadership. Then a woman with red hair asked me to write down all the names of people in the area (cont.)
Want to learn how to start valuing my more and focusing on high ROI activities as a young professional. Any Partners/MDs/Senior Leaders have tips for a rookie or books they’d recommend?
Does anyone have recommendations for thought leaders/influencers in the M&A space? Looking for blogs, books, YouTube videos? Not currently in the space, trying to learn more as I’m thinking about a pivot after a few years in consulting/startups
For my fellow managers (team leaders, people leaders, project leaders, practice leaders, etc.) - which management / leadership books have you found to be helpful in honing your approach to leading teams?
Just curious how many interviews did you go on before landing a job? Iv already had 5 different interviews where I make it to the final rounds and they just say they are going a different direction with someone with more experience. I have one that I’m waiting back to hear from and have a second round with Amazon. If I don’t get these I’m debating on if I should read/study leadership books to try and change my approach when answering these questions.
Interested in perspectives on training a very inexperienced person (high school graduate) to be the assistant you want them to be (requiring patience and training to develop skills the person may or may not be able to develop) versus hiring an experienced executive assistant (20+ years experience known to be excellent) for a partner slowly developing book but rapidly developing leadership (on executive level) at the firm.
Have an upcoming Netflix interview coming up and I want to chat with some folks from Netflix to make sure I’m well prepared.
Interested in talking to any product managers, senior engineers/engineer leaders, and TSMs. I’d love to get something on the books soon.

If you’re succeeding on all the right metrics (i.e., leadership loves you, clients love you, you’re participating on pitches, you’ve brought in clients, and you’re set up to inherit a book of business), but you’re still not super into it, being promoted to income partner won’t change things, right? Worth sticking out to see or jumping to go in house at a pre-IPO, late stage startup you find super exciting and interesting?
Any female NY CDs looking for a copywriter on their team? I’m desperate for female leadership and to work with a woman that empowers women. I’d be happy to DM my book / come to you for coffee/anything

Hi friends, I lead brand and advertising at Bankrate, a financial services education site. We’re building an in-house agency (25+ people already) to develop our campaigns, YouTube series, and more. Hiring a bunch of positions but hot on a copywriter with agency experience (mid+, title flexible, salary competitive based on experience/location, remote/Charlotte/NYC/Detroit). Here’s the listing, DM me with Qs, I’m an open book. I’ve been here for a year after 15 in agencies and love it.
What are some good activities to start at the account level for employee engagement? So far we have a Book Club, Meet the Leadership Lunch n Learn, and a newsletter.
Does anyone have any books recommendations on personal or career development? Anything that helped shaped you for a leadership position down the line? Thanks!
Is there anything you can do when a manager gives you a completely bullshit rating over mistakes to the client that you didn't make?

people are saying to hold onto stocks, and not sell, but given that I believe the market hasn’t bottomed out yet, why not sell now, and re-buy 20% lower? Outside of timing risk, whats downside to that

Thanks for your help fish!
I am two months short of completing 2 years of service at the current firm. I got a good offer and looking to move. This means I will have to pay back about $6k in joining bonus. Is there anyway I can negotiate this? I have so much overtime work hours that can currently be tracked to about 500+ hours for this year alone.
What are somethings I should be aware of when paying back the joining bonus?
