The issue. I’m a fd and recently joined a company. During my notice period at my previous company (3 month notice, late on) it became apparent that the opportunity I taking was materially different from the role outlined.

For example, the team I was inheriting. They decided to make 2 people redundant in the period between accepting the role and joining, to rehire the roles in India.

How many dates do you give someone if you don’t feel a “spark” in the first 1-2 dates but genuinely enjoy their company (I.e. talking and learning about them etc)?

I joined OPTUM today so how soon we can expect laptop and goodies.

How to tell Hiring manager and recruiter that i am not joining company after signing the offer letter?
Reason: I have offer from a better company.

I don't want to burn the bridges.

Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. Any advice?

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
