I have an offer from Walmart but I'm also interviewing at Meta. I'm midway through the Meta process but there's still a long way to go and I don't want to rush through it unprepared. Both are for a Data Scientist position. Any suggestions on how to deal with a situation like this? Walmart Facebook (Meta)

While most of us aren’t geniuses, most people - yourself included - have value.
What I’ve noticed, is that if you are feeling that way about yourself, you need to change your environment. A good team and a good manager will make you feel confident and motivated about yourself and your abilities.
Nobody has the right to make you feel badly about yourself.

EY1 - uncalled for and incorrect. To think folks are irredeemable is toxic. You’re telling me that the best managers can’t make use of everyone? Naw.
Perhaps as a manager you may just be out of YOUR depth.
Here’s my advice - fake it till you make it. People will treat you according to how you act and not according to how good or bad you actually are. That’s the reality. Know the things you’re bad at but don’t advertise them. Improve in silence. Only advertise things you are good at and have completed successfully.

Listen to the facts people say, ignore the unsolicited opinion. Remember that the cliché of the slow tortoise winning the race, because it’s shockingly true in life. Repeatedly. Your measure of value needs to be consistent growth. The rest don’t matter
Update after a year: I’ve managed to stick it through. I’ve improved. But this is a very toxic team and while people have realized I’m not as worthless as they deemed me to be, some have also recognized how toxic the people I worked with are. Some got “coached” after a few more people have made a point about the people I worked with.
