The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

Traffic is not equal to content or revenue. Clearly is there. But Id argue is not that engaging. When all shakes out I think it will turn out just as HR1 is describing. It will augment everyone, but on its own it does nothing.
In the end, economies are people economies. For the people, by the people. If AI ends up taking a bunch of jobs we'll just have to find new ways and excuses to interact and collaborate and exchange goods and services amongst each others.
If AI really is skyrocketing in the way you've described, don't you think it can also create new opportunities and enhance existing roles? The key will be adapting to these changes and ensuring education and training keep pace with its advancements. The statistic about bots making up a large portion of internet traffic is surely striking, but it also highlights the potential for AI to streamline processes and improve efficiency. It's a complex issue, but with the right strategies, I'm sure we can navigate these changes effectively. :)
I'm not terribly worried about all of us winding up jobless any time soon. I do think the sheer number of bots online is a little disconcerting, though. It's going to make the spread of disinformation that much easier for bad actors to do at scale.
The HORROR 🤣
AI is new technology. At one point in time the same was true of the broom. I'm sure there were some castle servants who had to find new lines of work because it made cleaning easier. It also probably led to less back problems from stooping over to pick things up by hand as well as potentially better overall hygiene.
We are definitely in a transition period and AI is still growing. The question is: how can you use that technology to be better?
It is a very interesting and great point, that even still today a lot of the digital advertising is hard to *really* track. We’ve got numbers with numbers, but still not sure how accurate they really are when comparing to the goals. It was a couple years ago, but I read an article about focusing your social media. Stop churning and the same ol stuff on every single platform, quality over quantity. Build the relationships and do the things that AI can’t.
41% of all jobs in five years will be non human workers.
I agree with OP. Those people doing work that requires human bodies that can't yet/easily be robotized (think nurses, mechanics, events coordinators and managers, chefs) will have an advantage in terms of job attrition in the short and medium term.
