Larsen & Toubro Infotech Is it good time to join Cognizant now for Coimbatore location considering too much attrition in recent times along with many policy changes and do they have enough projects or will there be any chance of layoffs if we don't find any projects for our skill(Tableau in my case)? I have another offer with LTI, Coimbatore for same salary but i prefer CTS more than LNT. Cognizant Larsen & Toubro Infotech
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Fears of a recession are reasonably causing people to take a second look at their job security. Seeing as many lawyers are working in specialty tax within PA how many of you are worried about a potential slowdown/layoffs within specialty tax? If not why do you feel you won’t be as affected? Hi Fishes, I am considering a Senior Engineer role with Alteryx (previously Hyper Anna) Sydney. If it's not too much trouble, I was hoping if anyone here could share their experience of working at Alteryx Sydney in terms of Culture, work life balance, politics, work pressure, people, Leadership and product. Thanks.

It is but once in blue moon you might get something albeit rare. Q4 and Q1 (Oct through Mar/Apr) are typically when corporations have hiring freezes to wrap up year end performance, evaluate current employees for next year bonuses/pay outs/promotions. March is when teams start to have performance/promotion conversations, so more job opportunities will open up around then. April onwards is the better time

In my own experience, while jobs do come available at the EOY, it very true that a lot of hiring occurs after the first of the year.
- Smaller and medium sized companies tend to slow down their hiring in Q3 to help them make their annual numbers.
- New budgets, including staffing numbers, are usually set at the beginning of the year.
- People take off a lot of time this time of year and/or are involved with trying to hit EOY deadlines, so it can be harder to schedule interviews.
There are places still hiring now. Last company I was at I hired 5 people in December with January start dates.
Hiring cycles can be long. But I think last 2 weeks of December will be slow as people take time off.
Last year this time was ultra hot. This year not so much.
If you don't have a start date for early December by now, the chances are lower. I've started jobs in early December. It just doesn't make sense for most companies to hire you now. They don't have time to onboard you and in this environment people definitely aren't paying for you to do nothing. We're literally 1 month away from the new year, by 2nd week of January most will be back at it. Try not to stress.
