That’s not how that works 😂
Stay classy, Republicans
For the people genuinely interested in how to be a better ally or step into the role of a co-conspirator, first of all, thank you. I thought this video provided a really helpful example that illuminates the difference between the two.
I’ll respond to any questions or thoughts that are made in good faith.

I don’t support republicans and trump, but what is new about this? The house is passing things that the opposing party doesn’t even want to consider voting on, so they kill it. Those are the rules of congress/senate, they are not new. You could place the same disdain on democrats for passing meaningless votes that are just for propaganda. Did Democrats think for a second that the republicans would vote on those bills? Total waste of time and just peacocking
If government was “supposed” to work like that, the rules would have been written like that. I believe each party doesn’t change the rules because they want to wield that power when they are in charge.
Let me reiterate, I don’t support this shutdown, I think this has the power to damage people’s lives (i.e. credit scores), but I don’t see what Republicans are doing as scandalous. If we disagree with their tactics, then we have a chance in 2020 to tell them. We will see if the majority / electoral college agrees
Isn't it funny how ok we are with this system.
The idea is supposed to be the house passes a bill and the senate votes. The Senate lead shouldn't decide what is voted upon or not.
He has determined priority for voting. These are so low on the list they won't get put to a vote.
