Focus and discipline. You need strong lieutenants and partners who help you carry the load, and you carve out the time to do what you need to do. It can be the best part of the job, but you need to really discipline yourself and your time. And yes - a good EA to make sure your time is protected.

personally i protect one hour a week, it seems like nothing, but it means something happens. anymore personally is impossible to stick to with ever changing diaries and demands

Inspo shares - slack or teams channel.
Proactive idea dev - work with resourcing to carve out time and if it is specific to a client, that would ideally be a part of your scope. If not, it should be an agency investment.
Working on the biz? - guessing what you mean here, but if you are a ECD/CCO there are other stakeholders who are also involved and this is typically a weekly reoccurring meeting to discuss and develop the objectives.
Also most ECD/CCOs have EAs who manage and protect their calendars.

Consulting makes me feel like such a f***boi - managing multiple clients at the same time, making sure none of them know about each other and making each one feel like they have my full attention and focus, even though I’m talking to other clients while meeting with a client 😂
