My probation was supposed to be of 6 months (i.e until June 2022), but today I received a notification in Workday that I have passed my probation.
How is this possible?

Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

No difference really but there has been a decent dip in rent in SF atleast and some other parts of the bay. I’ve been staying at the same apt complex in SF proper and studios that used to go for 2.7-3.2k are now available for as low as 1.6. Same kinda dip with 1bd units. I just renewed my lease in my studio and got a rent dip from 2200 (last year) to 1781 (signed last week). Bottom line is that timing is everything and prices fluctuate all the time. Best to start looking for areas (part of the bay) and corresponding neighborhoods atleast 2 months before moving and short list quickly so you can start to narrow down potential apt units from a month before you move.
Cheapest now due to low demand as ^ said.
Normally, it’s marginally cheaper in winter than summer/fall because there’s a rush of activity in summer/fall with new graduates/movers, but fewer options too.
No difference
And summer can get pretty cold here
