My company loves saying failure is part of learning, but that only applies if you’re high enough up the org chart. I’ve seen execs blow budgets, misread data, and tank projects with zero accountability. Meanwhile, I make one mistake like miss a minor deadline or phrase something the wrong way, and I’m in a meeting getting grilled like I crashed the whole company. I’m all for growth mindset, but where’s the grace for the rest of us?

You can’t have growth without failure, you need to be able to learn from mistakes. I don’t know how Companies that don’t give employees grace grow and evolve over time. It would seem that everyone would be too afraid to innovate, unless they are always bringing in well seasoned external candidates to create a “vision”
