Is it okay to do the background check process if I don't plan to join EY GDS? I have received better offer from another organization and I'm planning to join them. I still have 2 months left in my notice period. I'm holding EY's offer just to be on the safe side and planning to inform them towards the end of my notice period. If I complete the background check process and not join EY, will they blacklist me from exploring opportunities in future? EY

Hmm the mention of “polyester” suggests you’ve seen one too many TikToks about how all polyester is crap and only natural fibers are good
Important to member that “quality” of polyester can be good depending on how it’s made. Patagonia is a classic example of a company that uses primarily polyester but their stuff is obviously excellent, very durable, perfect for their intended function. Cotton, linen, cashmere etc can ALL be poorly made. Cashmere for example these days has become cheap and ubiquitous but only bc companies figured out how to mass produce using very low quality cashmere. Give me Patagonia quality polyester over cashmere from say, Quince, any day of the week.
That being said if you want to get as much natural fiber in your work clothes as possible, J Crew is my favorite place for that as they use a lot of cotton, linen, wool in business wear. I also live and die by Aritzia’s Only Pant which comes in wool
Which pants by Aritzia do you mean? I’m not seeing “Only Pant” on their website
Rising Star
AYR, Vince, Nordstrom / Nordstrom Rack, Reformation if you’re careful about fabric makeup (I have some cashmere sweaters from them that are solid)
F - just packed for a work trip, brands included COS, Sandro, Aritzia Babaton, Tibi, Rag & Bone, Jcrew, Sezane, Nike and Lulu.
Shoes - Vince, Rag & Bone and Paul Green
Can catch some of these on sale at Shopbop, Nordstrom/Rack sometimes!

Aligne, Fold London, argent, Karen Millen, Tara jarmon
Karen Mullen quality has gone significantly downhill

It’s so disappointing when I read the clothing labels and see so many synthetic materials! It may depend on how formal your office is but I like to shop Sézane and J. Crew! I follow an account @fond.losangeles on IG that has been a good resource for polished clothing and she does a good deep dive on quality!
