My understanding is that generally one can reapply for a lateral position six months after submitting if the firm didn’t extend a screener interview. What about if one had a screener/callback but didn’t get an offer - can one reapply (and, if yes, how long is the wait time in such a situation)?

The timing only has to do with using different recruiters. You can reapply as often as you'd like otherwise, but why do you think they will change their minds?

Oh that makes sense thanks!

Do you know why you didn’t get the offer?

Recently interviewed for a dream job.
Now as I wait for a response and the tension builds I find myself thinking more about wanting to drink (I have 8 months so far). Cont.....

I’ve slowly started drinking less and less. And the less I’m drinking the more I realize just how much of my time revolved around alcohol. From going to get it, to drinking it to fighting hangovers. Now I realize I need something to fill all that time with. Especially now that I’m not spending all day saturday and sunday deathly hungover. I go for walks and run errands…but in a shock to me…there’s still a lot of time left. How did you start spending your time once you stopped drinking?

Random partner asked a litigation-related question to a partner I frequently work with (i’m a transactional associate). My partner cc’d me and said for me to briefly look. Asked the library. They got me a great case. Sent it back. Now the random partner is asking for more cases in another circuit.

I haven’t done caselaw research since 1L and this isn’t even my practice… wtf do I do (I am fully utilized in my normal work and have a few deals closing soon…)
