Homemade eggnog with bourbon? Relatively basic, but if you make the eggnog yourself it’s “special”
She loves eggnog, this might be the one.
Manhattans all the way
See this is what I said. But the theme is more important to her than functionality at this point.
Batch Manhattans or old fashioneds and call it a day; want a twist use a Greek sour cherry and get a little bit of the syrup in there too, 10/10
Defn have mulled wine if it’s a Christmas party
Fair enough
Are you seeking a cocktail that you would have to make over and over again or a premade ready to serve cocktail that all you have to do is pour?
We're hiring a bartender so either is fine, I think she'd like to have one going around on trays so probably premade, and then the others can be made at the bar.

Japanese old fashioned. How you would normally make old fashioned plus simple syrup infused with strawberry
Thanks, this might work too.
Negroni Torbato, by the great Alessandro Palazzi.
Are you hiring a bartender or mixing ahead of time and serving punch bowl style?
A penicillin with some kind of torched warm spice could be good: cinnamon stick, clove, nutmeg. Pretty classic but still has the feel of the holidays. You could also do something like a chai toddy if you’re tied to whiskey and think a warm cocktail would be appreciated. In a separate strand, if you’re celebrating Christmas and don’t need whiskey, Tanqueray is a pretty juniper forward gin and I feel like adding a sprig of rosemary and maybe some mint could be a very “Christmas tree” representation.
There’s a lot of bourbon talk on here do you not go scotch. From an investment point of view I see a higher yield on scotch than bourbon.
A few of my favorites: Elks Own, Trinidad Sour, Thanksgiving Cobbler (can call it a Christmas Cobbler).
