My WOC supervisor told her team that her aunt died in NJ and she and her mother, who is also an employee (NFCU favors nepotism in the workplace), suddenly took vacation for 10 days to supposedly clean the "deceased" aunt's house to be able to sell it. Then, 2 mos later, she told the team that the aunt in NJ hadn't really died, she just needed her house cleaned because she was a hoarder. Makes an employee of hers want to say, "Hmmm!"

Honestly, why do you care? Your boss shouldn't have lied but more importantly she shouldn't have to tell anyone why she needs time away.

What does that even have to do with you? And what exactly does WOC stand for in this context..??

Beautiful News 🗞️, tell me can you handle this remotely

That's a weird story, but it's really nobody's business anyway. I mean, it's strange she lied about her aunt. And it could make someone wonder if she's lying about things related to work. But unless you know she's lying about work matters, it's just immaterial gossip.

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus. On top of that I have 5 years experience and a masters in finance. I’m good at my job and receive positive reviews from everyone. I feel like I should be compensated better but the company says that’s what they think I’m worth. Any help or insights would be great!

I currently make about 160k and if JPM would give me a high draw for the first 3 years to build, and if it’s feasible to sustain that 160+ there.
