There are lots of groups for single people to make friends. events & adventures is great, lots of members from the burbs and they do events in the city and the suburbs.
Bumble bff is a good way to make friends in the burbs & if you are a female or identify as a female you can join one drink in friends and you can meet some friends there, otherwise the suburban bars/clubs are a good way to meet ppl. Schaumburg /AH/palatine have fun bars
I miss the suburbs, I’m really good looking in the suburbs but just above average in the city. I would clean up dating out there. Big fish small pond thing.
bruh why would u move to the boring suburbs
@OP all I can say is yikes
If you have kids then no, but if you are single, y would u move thereeee.
Where on the south side?
Totally agree. Kinda brutal moving out to the burbs
Is it?
Kids or no kids? Big difference.
That’s why you’re miserable. Have a baby or come back to the city!
Yea no shit. Suburbs are boring as hell

What are your interests? Maybe you can join a meetup? Church? Dance classes? Airbnb experiences?

Not at all - Suburbs is where it’s at.
I have a friend who's BF lives with his parents in the suburbs... only friends he has are from high school.
I’ve found the opposite - neighbors are all very outgoing and there are a ton of young families around.
100%. It’s so tough to make friends in the suburbs especially working in the city because city friends don’t want to visit the suburbs and vice versa!
If you ever lived outside of the states, you’d know how dysfunctional suburbs actually are. For every sense including socialization.

Me!! And I’m in the Elgin/ St. Charles side so it’s really hard 😞 I do have a 2 year old but most of her friends’ moms are stay at home moms and we quickly run out of things to talk. It’s mostly always about kids and how hubby is tired and they have to cook, clean etc.
