I feel like this year has been disappointing music wise. It seems like I've listened to the same songs since the beginning of summer!

Why don't more (white collar) Americans take breaks in-between jobs? Like a month or two summer break. Is this mindset that you need to work all the time a vestige from back when people would work at the same company for 40 years until they die?

Is it acceptable to have a beard in today's corporate environment? Mine is well kept, and relatively short. However I feel like I'm sometimes not welcome in certain circles because of it.
