Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

I am a associate java developer having knowledge and experience on Java, Spring mvc, Spring boot, Hibernate, MySQL. Recently I have joined another IT company. The surprising thing is they are providing training on Scala Programming language .I don't have any knowledge about Scala Programming, Slick and Postgresql. Is Scala developer having good future and demand. Can I better to try for other company to stay in java technology only. EY Infosys Cognizant

How is Deloitte Risk advisory cyber risk( tprm) in terms of career growth.. What kind of job it is is it technical, or business analyst, risk analyst kind of job. I am a person with 1.5 yrs of experience so less knowledge in this matters. Is it something I can make a career in it. Deloitte

It sounds like a JD, non lawyer position, is it? Sorry if I’m misunderstanding! I wouldn’t take any non traditional non attorney roles if in house was my goal.
It sounds like the kind of role I would take if I wanted to scale back, but not if I wanted to remain in practice.

If I’m interviewing for a role and one candidate is currently in-house and the other is in a JD preferred role, I’ll be inclined to the in-house candidate. Stepping into a non-attorney role with the hopes of getting back on track is risky
I took a non traditional, non attorney role as compliance officer fresh after passing the bar. It took about 7 years but I finally made it to in house counsel. My advice is that if you accept that type of role, then be ready to grind it out to get to your ideal position/title.
What exactly is a manager for employment claims? Is it an attorney role?
I would be in charge of charges of discrimination, and counseling re: employment issues.

Yeah what I’m saying is that if you can’t point to a way this non-lawyer role would you a competitive edge for a later l&e role, you’re going to lose out to vanilla atty candidates. You are the only one with enough knowledge to know if there is any way to spin this role, bc it doesn’t look like it from the outside
