Agree with Partner 1. What’s “good?” Where’s the “major market?” What’s the compensation structure if there’s no billable hour requirement?
Hard to say without knowing their billable rates, estimated annual collections, your overhead, etc
We’re in the Chicago suburbs.
If they work 40 hrs/wk, generate about $150k in year #1 and then $200k in year #2, their revenue numbers tend to grow from there. Heavy focus on training during year 1.
Currently, we start brand new post-bar associates at $65k, with approx $5-10k in bonus for year 1. Then about $75k in year 2 with similar bonuses. Year 3, they start at $85k and typically take home $100-110k for the year after bonuses.
We offer profit-sharing for clients brought in by the associate and lots of other benefits with monetary value (paid health insurance, lunches, maternity leave, gym, etc)
