Hikes: Elephant Rock in bountiful (fairly easy), Mt Olympus (hard), Pfiefferhorn (harder), Mt Timp for sunrise (medium difficulty and trust me the sunrise is epic + so worth it), Lake Blanche (medium difficulty and highly scenic), Lone Peak via Jacobs Ladder if you’re feeling insane and want hike 16 miles in a day + 5.5k feet of elevation gain. Red and White pine likes are also great + Bald Mountain in the Uintah’s offer a fantastic view.

Restaurants: Bud’s sandwiches, Del Barrio in Midvale (best Mexican in the state), Monarca, Spitz, White Horse, Central 9th Market, Little America Hotel for Brunch, Trolley Wing Co (best wings in slc), Wildwood, Log Haven, Sapa

Bars: Beer Bar, Lake Effect for a club/party vibe, TF Brewing

9th and 9th is a cool area to check out as well and I’d definitely walk around the Capitol too

like

Good variety of breweries that you should try out: TF Brewery, Fischer Brewery, Bewilder Brewing

Hikes: Check out the All Trails app for a more comprehensive list, but the above post covered two of my favorites- Mount Olympus and Lake Blanche.

Restaurants: Takishi is great for sushi, Manolis for Greek, Brick’s for pizza (Detroit-style), Osteria Amore for Italian.

I’ve had slackwater a few times, super good

I live at west temple apartments right under the Capitol downtown. It’s a pretty area, quiet at night, but a 10 minute walk to the nightlife. Check the area out

like

Check out Pie Hole downtown if you like unique pizzas.

Thanks this is a lot of great info! Which areas do you recommend someone live for great access to decent amenities +outdoors

That's the great thing about the valley. Anywhere us close to outdoors stuff. I live downtown and am 20 minutes from big Cottonwood.

Sugar House is the best for young urban professionals with good access to the highway

Thanks! Currently I’m just exploring and planning more for the future
