Not to be all motivational, but I just wanted to share a thought. Our dog has four windows that she watches the neighborhood through. Today, I realized how dirty the windows were. We had a fog advisory, and I kept thinking it was weird that the fog was still so intense. I went to the window and realized the fog was gone, and what I was seeing was the doggy-snudges all over the window. My thought is this: When the view is not clear and the perspective is smudged, it's time to clean the window.

I have an offer for a Director of IT Compliance role. Small/mid size company and in MCOL, I have +12 YOE. Base salary in the offer is 160k and annual bonus 20-45k (depends on company performance). Any thoughts on the offer? I’m inclined to ask for a base of 170k since not in rush to change jobs.

I am due to join pwc IAC very soon. But while verifying my background, they tried calling my ex employer who didn't answer their calls or mails. It was a small firm with no specific HR department.

They have given me a partial go ahead to join contingent on the fact that i get the document from him.
