Happy new year!
How do I get on a deal team?
Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Additional Posts in Risk Assurance
Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

160kkkk? How!??? I’m a senior at 120k, how is a director getting only 160, push for 190k
No RSUs. Total comp offered would be 180k to 220k (big difference is the bonus). It’s for industry, not for a professional services firm.
I wouldn’t for less than 185 base (assuming you are a current director at PWC)
No, planning to leave soon

Yeah, $160k base sounds a bit low for your YOE, but I'm relatively junior and not terribly familiar with what is competitive at your level. What's your role at PWC? Senior Manager? What's your base and TC currently? If you like your current job, the pay bump should be particularly good to make you jump imo.
I think you should hold still and look for something better. You have 12YOE. You should be targeting double of that man. I left public at S2 making 97k for a bank AVP role after just 4YOE and I’m making 150k rn at MCOL. You’re worth more.
What is your title if you don’t mind?
Thanks for all the input! Total comp offered now is 180k to 220k (big difference is the bonus). It’s for industry, not for a professional services firm. As I thought, it sound I should ask for more on the base salary (170-180k range I’m thinking)
Take the job.
Just curious, is that a good salary for a director at RSM? Feels quite low.
Seems like a good opportunity. In the past, I’ve negotiated a higher salary for a slightly less sign on bonus. I’m sure they’d be more than happy to hear you out.
My experience is similar to EY1. A little over 5yoe on my end, and at just about 160k base. Push for more or find a different offer.
Ask for more. You should get at least $220k. Ask for stock. Ask for Bonus. Don't be afraid to ask.
