I mean, Biden got 92% of the DC vote. In Navy Yard he got like 87% of the vote. So was Navy Yard slightly more Republican in 2020 than the DC average? Sure, but we're talking about a handful of people here. The vast majority of the neighborhood is on the left. It's basic math.

Bold of you to assume that google only hires certain type of people 🤔
Yup I see people living there with jobs that make money, probably have some political views but I don’t care bc that’s not a personality trait

I guess working at Google doesn't necessarily mean you have to be good at making your point 😂😂😂

Um, no? I live here and I’m so liberal I’m part donkey. Bernie? You mean that old right-wing nut job??

I say yes, I’ve been there once and I saw a tons of white guys in undercuts wearing (presumably) all bonobos. #fratyard
Who cares? Sounds like a close minded question in my opinion.
Standard close minded question.

Yes! Republican (and also heterosexual)
Yes
No, they’re urban cowboys and can’t shoot worth s***
People like to say that bc it’s where the previous admin’s staffers lived over 2 years ago. AOC lives in one of the buildings. SA1 also raises good points. I’ve got more Republican friends that live in other neighborhoods (GASP)
“Staffers” coffee grabbers get paid poooo
I think it used to be much more so when Trump was in office and it was the hotspots for all the young staffers.
More so than the rest of DC, but you have to really squint to see it. If you’re not looking for it, you wouldn’t notice.
Yes def republican neighborhood
Nah I lived there for over 6 years and seen it change. Yes, there are more republicans(mostly staffers) in the area than rest of DC due to proximity to the Hill. However, it’s still ~85% Dem and I’ve ran into AOC a few times who also lives in the area.
AOC? She’s a moderate at best.
Omg they think differently!
Is water wet
I live in Navy Yard and I’m so pumped it’s opening day tomorrow! Whatever the split now, the neighborhood will become more Republican next year after the red tsunami staffers move-in.
We can be friends. I’m not working past 2:30 tomorrow
This conversation is kind of like asking, “Who is the tallest Dwarf”. You’re not gonna feel like you’re in GA or Bama in Navy Yard lol
