If I am unable to make it in the required three days I email my manager and cc HR to explain why. This has kept me off of the dreaded “non-compliant” list because I have a valid reason.
They have grounds to fire you without severance if you’re non compliant. If you’re up for a promotion they’ll also use that list as a reason not to promote you or give you a raise regardless of how well you perform.
Your manager will matter the most, but your location will matter too.
You’re able to flex your time as needed, but of course your manager has the final say. Also your location will determine how often you go in, most are 3 days a week.
Mat leave is fine. Nothing crazy great.
No childcare backup care or anything like that. Cariloop is a cool benefit if you use it (helps with elder or childcare needs. Ex: used to help find a ped for the kids, childcare options in my area and help with finding doctors stuff for my aging parent).

At least at my agency there isn’t any type of gym or exercise benefit on a monthly basis, but there is a up to $500 a year wellness benefit, but it comes across in your paycheck as a bonus so it’s taxed as such.
Health benefits are Aetna for medical eye med for vision and something else for dental. They’re all fine. Nothing crazy amazing but there are several plan options and you can get a FSA or HSA depending on the plan you choose.
The non compliance list is if you don’t go in your required amount of days and you get let go, you don’t get severance bc you were non compliant
