I love these people. I was working as a host at a restaurant years ago and had someone completely chew me out for being unwilling to walk a quarter mile down the road to see if a different restaurant was still there. I kind of admired how ridiculously entitled they were to think I would just willingly walk out on my job to bring money to a direct competitor.

Sometimes I wondered if they just made a mistake, but had to double down on the whole situation. I worked in fast food and a handful of times somebody would try to order something commonly from a different place, after explaining they would be mad at me that we didn’t have it? The general public is truly baffling.

Hello,
I've recieved an offer from Morgan Stanley, my previous salary was around 6 Lpa and last offered was around 15 Lpa (WFH), I quoted 40 to 45% on top of that around 22 Lpa considering Mumbai location, WFO and Glassdoor pay range.
Did I just do a mistake by quoting too high a number? Please let me know your opinions.

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.
