I'm so overwhelmed with the cost of good furniture. Recently moved and am getting my new space ready for guests and the cost of things is astounding. I wholeheartedly believe that anything between you and the ground should be quality but 3k for a basic mattress, another 2k for a sitting chair. A step down when I looked at the Herman Miller Eames chairs, that 8k punched me in the gut. Just basic furnishings is insane. I'm terrified to start looking at art although my walls are going to need it 😭
