No, I try to prevent ageism up front.
I leave my graduation date off my resume, but so many companies use that trash workday system that *requires* entering a date. I don't enter my degree into workday.
Workday is so aggravating thank you for pointing that out. That’s a great tip.
Not anymore - was told it wasn’t a good idea to leave indication of how old I am now that I passed 40. On some careers portals you have to put dates, so I give it then.
I got my degree later in life so I haven't run into that problem.
Nope no date whatsoever
Thanks all for the responses!
I’ve always listed my undergrad dat4. Hell, if they’re not hiring me for my experience and are illegally discriminating based on age, then I don’t want to work there.
Only when it’s required.
No not since I was in my early 20s
No I don't have mine on my resume and I haven't for quite some time now.
Nope
Ageism is a thing… and not placing your bachelor’s date on the resume doesn’t mean they won’t figure out you age, either from your LinkedIn profile (that normally has all experience, education, dates) or simply by looking at your experience (unless of course, you cutoff the experience in the resume).
Having said that, I do remove it from my resume. Simply because it should not matter.
