Looking for some encouragement. Has anyone here received an overall negative performance review or has been put on a development/performance plan and was able to turn things around for the better?

Obviously many of us get paid very well and there is an expectation with work demands for being paid that high. But what’s too much? How do you set a limit to preserve your mental health? I find myself guilty for taking time to decompress but I know I come back to work refocused after I do it.

For people who have profit sharing what have your experiences been? Ours is every March but it is a variable number based on how we do the prior year (duh obviously) but also only my boss gets to decide and he gives no criteria on why he chooses what he does. I love having the time in the summer to do things around the house, but struggle when the school year starts. I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?
