Please advise me (Chicago / big law) Benefits of transitioning from being a senior executive assistant to a corporate paralegal? I’m about to wrap up a paralegal certification and have the chance to explore a paralegal position in my current firm. I’m comfortable as an EA, which I’ve done for 20+ years. Is now the right time to pivot?

Why if you are on H1B is so much problematic for vendors looking for contractors ? Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues. Point being does it matter for end client , if the contractor is coming as W2 or not ?

Interviewing question: for anecdotal “tell me abt a time when..”, & similar questions - are you allowed to recycle stories from your undergrad years or do they only look for post grad/work stuff? Afraid some of the stories that sounded okay at undergrad recruiting might now come across as a bit “lightweight” in this context...like would they eye roll if we start talking about that one time we did a science competition sophomore year of college (even though it taught an important lesson)..etc.🤔
