Policy: Bi-Yearly shut downs

Amgen has a paid, non-PTO shutdown in the United States twice a year, in July and December. This benefit allows employees to spend time with family, travel, and pursue other interests. 

But this is not applicable to Amgen India.

But Amgen India has a lot of paid holidays (Leaves) apart from National holidays. So we are good on that front. Any thoughts or qsns?

I think deep dish pizza is overrated.

Higher offers at 27-28 with more fixed pay is from contract and hire/fire type companies. Mostly indirect hiring instead of direct employment with the final employer, means higher pay with lower jon security - we get little more pay, companies get the option to let go with ease later!

I am beyond stuck in my first 1.5 years of my career.

I was over promised opportunities at my first gig and then Covid hit. Leading me to have no portfolio worthy pieces from this 💩 agency with nothing great in sight. (place hasn’t won a pitch in my entire time here + lost clients)

I’m juggling re-vamping my site and a side project to hopefully make my book more robust.

With no kind of leadership or mentor, I’m just figuring out how to dig myself out of this hole. Any advice for this chump?
