Posted in the In House bowl about what to wear for a FAANG interview in the Bay Area (in person) and got replies that I think make more sense for men. Ladies, what would you wear to this sort of interview? I think a suit would be an absolute no-go but I don’t know how casual I should go on the business casual scale. My virtual interviewers were wearing tshirts and sweaters.

l interviewed for Deloitte (India not USI) in January, and accepted an offer letter with DOJ of 25th April, later HR asked me to join on 11th April for which I agreed. Now I haven't received the revised offer letter or any links other than BGV and Pre-Hire form from Deloitte and now the HR is not even picking my calls or responding to emails.
Any advice on what to do?

The normalization of "on hold" by the usual suspects. Had 6 interviews in past 4 months with D_itte Get the verbal offer from HR. Yay. Fast forward to following Monday. Get thanked for my complimentary followup sent post-final interview. 48hrs later, same recruiter (on speakerphone) tells me job is now hold and "you must be upset" and good luck in your search.

Tacky AF. Tell me I was rejected by the shadowy 5-person board or it was given to someone who wanted less. Just not this b.s.

It’s been a week since my last interview at Deloitte. I haven’t heard anything, is this typical? When can I expect a response for my second interview?

Any advice for lateraling in-house?

I am an IP attorney (prosecution) I am totally burned out from patent drafting (never enjoyed it) and I have been trying to get a job in-house for years with mixed results. Anywhere from a long list of generic thanks but not thanks emails to final round interviews. Pretty desperate to get out of firm life but seems like I can't get any traction. Any tips/encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

While giving the tech interview as well as while having the HR discussion, I mentioned my expected CTC as 9-10 LPA(CTC). I cleared the interview and uploaded all the documents in the portal yesterday. Today mrng all the document verification was completed. But when I got the call for offer discussion, she asked what u expect. I said 9-10 LPA. She questioned me that on what basis I am asking for this much hike. She offered me 6.3 LPA as CTC with 21% variable. 5.2 as basic. Rest part in comments..

He has applied fr the match last yr & was nt able to match. Match process costs around USD10k; this year he is applying again after borrowing funds frm different sources bt he is under tremendous pressure to get match. Hi all, my aim is to join one of the faang companies after two years. I want to dedicate these two years to attain whatever knowledge ia required. My skillset is currently java, springboot thats all. I have worked as data engineer in service based companies and mostly worked on informatica and IBM datastage , SQL, Teradata currently doing trainings on python and GCP. I need guidance on how/where to prepare for typical data engineering profile to crack interviews in Faang/Maang or other good product based companies.

I'm looking at applying to MBB (Preferably BCG) for a summer internship this summer. I'm a first-gen Oxbridge student, and while I have little experience in consulting along the lines of MBB, I did work in the city last summer as an sustainability consultant.

I'm curious how important it is to have a referral etc and what you'd recommend for applications opening in jan. Any advice is super appreciated I don't have any connections to the industry but it's something im interested in.
