Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? How do you navigate a working relationship where someone in a different department but at the same director level as you consistently assumes seniority over you? The thing is they're great and can be an ally, but they're frequently shutting down the team's work and having a negative impact on the team's morale and output.

Hey folks, I'm getting an offer as a SC in EY UK. Presently I'm a manager with EY India (up for SM next yr Oct 2021). Comp is 55k range (haven't officially received the figure, a few more days it's expected, doing some homework before that).

I'll be moving with family. Wife may not immediately start working (,find a new job, we have a toddler daughter as well 2 YO).

I personally don't find this offer commercially attractive. Can someone offer some counter arguments?

Any thoughts on what the 'full' transition to hybrid will look like? Do you think showing up in-person to the office would be required even if the client isn't requesting it? I'm planning on staying WFH for as long and as much as possible and getting concerned about some of the emails we've been getting about the future of hybrid work at PRO.

In the early stages of the interview process. Was told there wouldn’t be a case interview, but a technical interview instead. What should I expect?

For the Protiviti fishes, were you onsight before Covid? I keep seeing jobs that say the roles with Protiviti are hybrid. Do you think the company will eventually move away from remote? A recruiter reached out to me but couldn't answer my question about remote now or in the near future. It was very vague.
