I’m sorry this is happening to you, but the problem is that “more money for the rich” wouldn’t be a winning political message if it wasn’t wedded regressive social views to entice the fundies and mouth breathers.
I disagree, OP. The economy has to be managed on a global scale. We’re past the growth that nationalism can provide. Social issues are country (or sometimes state specific). You’re asking conservatives who think the US is in isolation to pull levers that they don’t understand on the global scale.
Like trump pulling out of trade deals that increased china’s local and global influence. It’s absurd.
If we could convert republicans into libertarians we would get rid of so many headaches like my god just let go of the social issues. Democrat policies have been so disastrous and irrational but we have to keep electing them because of abortion and marijuana voters lol. LET IT GO

The Biden issues have all been pretty predictable big picture things and the market could go up or down before Nov. If it recovers a bit, their plan of blaming it all on Biden will lose weight, so they need to pander to their base.
Their base is all that matters in most of the elections right now.
And all the emotional, single issue democrats come out of the woodwork and we have to sit through 4 more years of some incompetent career politician democrat who f*cks everything up. My god republicans just let go of social issues it doesnt matter look at the economy
It’s not an inconsistency for Dems. They’re also better with budget deficit in modern times. It’s not even close.
Also, look at who the “brrr” goes to. Rs send it to companies, Ds send it to individuals in need.
