Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. Republicans annoy me because Biden is fumbling the bag right now and wrecking everything and republicans decide that RIGHT NOW is the time to die on the hill of a social issue. We have a litany of economic and energy and strategic issues and they decide to just randomly do this for no reason

I wouldn't have nearly as many issues with conservative principles if they weren't so hypocritical in how they enact them.

I'm not opposed to lowering taxes, smaller government, and respecting individual rights, but they simultaneously support bailing out big businesses, expanding church and state, and massive deficit spending to pay for dumb wars and tax loopholes for hedge fund managers.

I'd rather see our government provide food, healthcare, and shelter than any of the above things.

One of my big hang-ups with biden tax plan is raising corporate tax across the board. Why raise taxes on businesses when we've just found out how fragile it is to be able to run a small business?Why not at least propose some kind of progressive corporate tax structure if you want to raise taxes on corps?
