It’s ok to feel all the feels - good and bad. You’ll miss your baby so much but also start to feel like talking with adults all day brings you back to life. Going home to a baby that lights up when you walk in the door is the coolest feeling ever.
One tip: ask your nanny (or daycare) to avoid telling you updates about milestones like rolling over, crawling and walking so you can experience the firsts when you’re together. (Or at least believe it was the first time! Ha!)
Hugs to you mama!! Stay in the here and now. Having my little one to go home to at the end of the day helped me get through the crappy days at work. (And going to an office on Monday helped during hard weekends during teething, etc.) You're making the right decision for your family for today. If something changes, trust yourself to make a new decision then. You got this!!
At the end of each day, enjoy some down time with your baby. Your touch, smell is what he/she will remember not necessarily the amount of time you spend with him/her doing the routine things. And definitely end with a kiss and love you each time you put him/her down.
These replies have me crying!! Just love my little babe so much. I know it’s the right choice but wow, nothing has prepared me for the weight of this transition. I’m sorry for not being even more empathetic to all my mom friends and coworkers 😭
