Likely, one of the 3 reasons:
1. The BA has a very attractive and straightforward background (e.g., CS/data analytics degree from Stanford + exclusively tech/AI advisory at the firm, or at least experience positioned as such; maybe some short stint in tech pre-McKinsey). They must also be able to sell themselves super well - mad respect.
2. Humble bragging, i.e., overstated comp. May be the case if stock options are valued aggressively and/or if the bonus is an equivalent of a 5 performance rating.
3. Extreme luck - or blatant lie.

One more option, actually: super aggressive AI startup with 996+ working style and crazy young founders having a bias for young age/ambition over experience. Mercor comes to mind, as they claim $300k+ TC potential, assuming ib-level bonus as % of salary.
Even in this case, I’d guess the comp includes stock or significant degree of uncertainty around the bonus.
