He violated laws, his own terms and conditions, provided incomplete and misleading docs to lenders to get loans, and made misstatements—verifiable through metadata—when testifying.
Is he a monster who deserves 100 years in prison? No. But he definitely knew what he was doing was wrong, especially given that he is the son of two law professors.
No one is a winner in this case. It’s a terrible situation all around.
he had the power to decide his own fate … so not too sorry for SBF
7 balance sheets to hide misuse of billions of customer funds? He probably didn’t understand the potential consequences of his actions to himself, doesn’t mean he didn’t know what he was doing

Hope no one trusts you with a few billion in customer money; you might buy a gulfstream with some of it and say thats just a party foul.
Yes, he’s guilty. The verdict says the same. I can’t imagine a scenario where he’s an aloof fool.

He knew what he was doing
The charges are kinda BS if you dig into the facts and prosecution’s theory, mismanaging a company isn’t necessarily a crime. Honestly, my cynical take is that SBF is just a sacrificial lamb for the MAGA right wing. If he was a Republican or wasn’t donating so heavily to progressive causes, he would’ve gotten a slap on the wrist.

A12 just to hammer your point home, the guy who dealt with the aftermath of Enron was tasked with cleaning up after SBF, and said this was even worse.

Not only is he guilty, he tried to screw one of my clients multiple times. We were able to prevent it, but he lied about them and tried to ruin their business. Glad he’s going to jail.

Don’t worry, Biden will pardon him
Unfortunately, Biden doesn’t run a pay-for-pardons scheme like the last guy.

OP, you don’t have to know exactly which provision of which law to be liable. Even when knowledge is a required element of the crime, general knowledge that what you are doing is shady is enough

Super guilty. Hope he dies in prison.
OP is an accountant

He should have pled guilty.
