How much $$ are you able to save each month, if you live in a high-CoL city (i.e., NYC, SF, LA)? Travel v non-travel
I didn’t think this day would come so soon but I’m ready to look at jobs in industry. After updating your resume, any tips on next steps? How did you go about searching? Recruiter, LinkedIn, referral?
How are you handling onboarding of new hires right now? Has anyone made creative changes to your plans or encountered hiccups? For those that usually supply new hires gifts to employees on their first day, have you still been doing that? If so, how?!
How do you manage meals/snacks while on the road? What are your favorite products to pack for the trip? Would love links. Food from restaurants makes me sick, fat, and gives me brain fog
Do I need a US work visa if I (Canadian) am on a global P&A project and need to go to the US client site for 1 WEEK to get ramped up & prep for workshops(that will be executed at Canadian client site)
I have roughly 20K sitting in a high yield savings account as an emergency fund. Maxed out 401K but no other savings. Should I use half of it to pay down part of my 18K in student loans? I just worry
My leadership of a startup in California is very anti-COVID restrictions and has recently said that they want to force employees to come into the office, no exceptions, even though our County is still in the highest restriction level. None of our roles require anyone to be in the office to complete their responsibilities. They also don't want to follow guidelines (like masks), but I think they'd be willing to somewhat if they were forcing people in. Anyone have advice here and how you are supporting leadership through this? I don't know of any fines related to bucking the restrictions. I do know about the mandatory reporting implemented by Gov. Newsom, but that's extent of it. How are you handling this at your company?
How many billable hours per week keep you in the game at an agency making cuts? 60? 70? I have no idea what’s normal anymore.
I recently changed my employer with decent salary increment and a title bump(Manager). Unfortunately I am stuck with Manager who is really rude, micromanages and when asked for help shows authority. Every day since i joined has been miserable and I just don't feel motivated to work. Also work life balance has been sketchy. Changing jobs is really challenging due to immigration restrictions and bad economy. Any help fishes? How should I deal with this?
Anyone have experience leaving NYC for a ‘3rd tier’ market (v small city). I’m debating a move —it would mean a 50% salary cut but hopefully a better balance and a happier me! Thoughts?
H1B up for extension in June, never had a visa stamp (did not leave US since graduate with F-1), is it normal? what are the odds of getting REF?
Have you ever calculated your logged hours against your salary and realized how little you make hourly? I'm at $20/hr. 😫
Seriously considering getting out of the US for a little while. What are my best options without sacrificing comp? Looking into Dubai.
