13 years experience and no college education. Best way to go about earning my BA and taking the CFP?

Look for a reputable online program in financial planning that allows you to sit for the CFP as part of your course work - they’re out there. I think Texas Tech, maybe Babson, and several other business schools now offer it. Two birds....

like

Well, if you intend to get your CFP, a degree in financial planning is the fastest route. If you’re willing to put in the time and work, then a degree in computer programming helps. An awful lot of buy side shops and RIAs use algorithmic investment strategies these days.

like

I think.... you have to have a college degree to be a CFP. I think..... but I could be wrong.

like

Correct

Liberty U has a great online program that allows you to get your BA in FP and satisfies educational req. for CFP. Then you just sit for the test.

I keep getting recruiters asking to apply for new roles, which is what I thought I wanted because I’m not growing at my agency. But I’m so fatigued I don’t even know if I want to stay in advertising. Have y’all left or took a break to do something different? What did you do?

Is now a good or bad time to move? I’m a financial analyst with 5 YOE (3 in manufacturing, 2 in Saas). I’ve been asking for promotion for almost a year now in my current company. Finally, my new manager and all the leaders on the team are supportive of my promotion. However, he said due to budget issue, my promotion probably won’t go thru during this cycle (August), but they will make sure it go thru in Feb ’23. If I get offered SFA role outside, should I consider? Or stay?

Hi all, debating whether to apply to MBA this year or next. I’m an Asian female, 330 GRE, 3.65 GPA in economics from a T10 undergrad. Spent 2.5 years at a T2 consulting firm (AT Kearney, OW, LEK etc) with one promotion and currently work as a product manager at a unicorn startup (currently 3 YOE). My main goals for an MBA would be to ideally transition to product marketing or working on my own startup idea, and hoping to meet more entrepreneurial folks. I want to apply this year, but worried
