Should I be scare of the job market with how little experience I have? My contract is about to end and I’m worried about the market for junior software engineers. How are any other junior software engineers doing in the market?

There's always work in IT. For junior software engineers it might actually be easier to find positions since everyone seems to be interested in firing their seniors to cut costs, but that doesn't eliminate the work and the remaining seniors can't always take on the increased load. Just float your resume around to the large consulting firms, but realize that, as a junior, they're going to pay you a lower rate.

I was going to say the same thing. Companies are cutting costs and may opt to have less-expensive junior devs fill in the gaps of layoffs. Don’t let it get you down, just keep applying. Your fresh perspective is very valuable.

I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to. The only thing I can think of is: I took a non traditional route after law school and did a 2 year public interest fellowship in a niche field of administrative law. The rejection gave me a lot of self hatred. I still really want to clerk. Any advice? What is wrong with me? I feel like a failure.

Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC bangalore rescinding an offer given the current market condition? The role in my offer letter seems to be pretty generic and during interviews, it didn't look like, they were interviewing for a particular project or team. I have doubts specifically because of HR's behaviour during the whole recruitment process where they never responded to my emails or calls. Is this normal practice?

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

Any advice on networking to find a new role? I've worked in the same place for so long and I'm not sure how to get started.

Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. Also I’m sorry if this is the wrong bowl to post in.
