Bain & Company Atlanta people! I’m in the process of applying for MBA programs and wanted to ask what recruiting is like for MBB from Emorys program? Is there a reasonable shot at getting into the Atlanta office from Emory, or are those openings primarily filled by other schools (Duke, UVA, etc.)

1. When I find out my entities are winding down or the fund is a 475 fund and we don’t have to do as much tax analysis.
2. I wish all education was free and society valued everything correctly. I just feel like today unless you’re a business or STEM major, you won’t find a job, and that people in college don’t take electives seriously. My real wish is that cash stops ruling everything around me and my generation can produce people who contribute culturally as well. Why can’t we have poets and authors and painters like other times in history?
I guess you’re right. It just bothers me that people who major in the arts, or English/philosophy are seen as wasting their lives
1. Friday night plans
2. Lack of community. I don't feel like we're as caring for our neighbors/friends as we could be. Caring for others and taking an interest in their lives may be seen as intrusive

We do have painters and poets and authors. They just haven't built up a mythology around them as they are currently active.
But I mean, just look at any creative field and there will be famous people in those circles. You just have to be really exceptional to make money from creative stuff. I think that was likely always true.
I think part of the issue is that you don't necessarily need an English degree to be a writer or such. Or an art degree to be an artist. Plenty of famous writers and artists with no schooling.
