I am so excited to see SCOTUS toss these cases and the outrage from the delusional MAGA people as reality starts to set in just a bit

MAGA Twitter and r/conservative disagree. This is the big one that’s going to blow liberals minds. They also don’t understand amicus briefs vs “joining the lawsuit”

From what I read, Texas will have to reply to today’s response by tomorrow, then SCOTUS can respond. I expect it to be a fast judgment tomorrow since they threw out the PA lawsuit 9-0 a couple minutes after PA AG submitted a response to the lawsuit
Thanks.

This is the outcome: Supreme Court denies to hear the case on the same criteria the PA case was denied to be heard. EC votes on Monday to elect Biden. Trump has no other option except to declare martial law and we enter Civil War 2 because the military will be split. This is the end game because trump will never concede, 2020 will go down in infamy for more than just covid. We literally are doomed and should have never voted this narcissistic idiot in during 2016. What was once A political joke, is going to end the USA as we know and love it.
Trump did say he’d accept the outcome of the electoral college vote. Then said they’d be making a mistake...

Lmao, why are we wasting our time caring about this

I fully believe republicans and SCOTUS would steal this election if it came down to 1 state. But no one is risking their legitimacy for Trump, especially not in a blowout.

This is likely a play by the TX AG to look good for Trump and get pardon because he’s being investigated for bribery. He knows there’s no real shot of his suit winning, it’s a publicity stunt

Not a lawyer - but general gist is if you join as a plaintiff you become a party to the suit (I.e. Iowa says they too were injured by how PA ran their elections ): amicus curiae are ways of adding additional assistance, opinions support. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amicus_curiae
Possible outcomes I can see are:
1 - Case tossed
2 - Temporary injunction to delay certification
3 - Agree to hear the case but no injunction
What have I missed? With original jurisdiction, sounds like SCOTUS has tossed cases in this manner in the past. But that could feed the “deep state” conspiracy nuts (“Look, SCOTUS has been compromised! Deep state got to them, they wouldn’t even HEAR US!”)

They could decide the case for future determination and still not change anything for 2020. They ruled on Cuomos religious gatherings ban even though the ban had already been lifted.
