While registering on Fidelity, I am asked to chose between FDRXX/FDIC .I would want to chose from available options and invest money. Which option I should be choosing of both ? I am trying to justify house buying in HCOL city. The house cost is minimum 1.4m .monthly mortgage would be at least 7k(with just around 2k principal) rest goes to either int,tax. Not to mention regular house maintenance. How is it better than 3.5k rental. I understand appreciation and own house independence. But I am just trying to make numbers work.

Being from Minnesota, I think it's so funny when people act as if we are some far-left State just because we hadn't voted Republican in a presidential election since Nixon. Never mind that many of our elections are close or that we have elected Republican Senators and governors.
