My thoughts on a few areas of focus:
1) Infrastructure improvements: bridges, electric & data infrastructure, water
2) Transportation improvements: highways, minor roads, high speed rail & airports
3) Erosion control
4) Flood control: irrigation, drainage, dams, ditching, & channel work
5) Forest culture: planting trees & shrubs, timber stand improvement, seed collection, & nursery work
6) Forest management: fire prevention, fire pre-suppression, firefighting, insect & disease control, & invasive species removal
7) Parks & rec: public camping & picnic ground development, lake & pond site restoration & development
8) Range Management: stock driveways, elimination of predatory animals & invasive species removal
9) Wildlife: stream improvement, fish stocking, food & cover planting
10) Agriculture modernization: teaching & implementing high efficiency farming techniques
11) Historic & Cultural Landmark Restoration
12) Refit & modernization of unused factories
13) Miscellaneous: emergency work, surveys, mosquito control, superfund site cleanup, low-income housing construction, & energy efficiency upgrades in low-income communities

We also just straight up need better metrics.
Unemployment rate - removing denominator (per hour chart) can be misleading.
Uber drivers or people working 2-3 jobs to make a living wage -> improves this chart (I could be wrong here).
Would be great if the numbers we tracked and held government responsible to were actually indicative of what the population as a whole cared about. (Not GDP, for example)
MCK1 - it is not. I agree it should be Included. My point is that other metrics are necessary to highlight the health of the population, that we don’t necessarily pay enough attention to.
An Uber driver is employed. Great! Numbers go up - but he has to work 2,3 jobs, is a contractor, etc

Let’s start with the MTA. They need 12 billion dollars from Biden just to survive next year.
Agree we shouldn’t let the MTA collapse, but that organization is horribly corrupt and needs to be cleaned up. There should be lots of strings attached to any federal bailout
