Some days it’s not the workload—it’s the emotional tax of navigating egos, silos, and silent retaliation. How do you protect your energy without going numb?

The million dollar question. I always say the work I can do with my eyes closed. The hardest part is people. Politics, layers, playing the game — if someone’s not built for it, very hard to maintain energy. If someone is built for it, they’re probably part of the problem. Sadly, this is corporate America and the grand delusion we all have to play by. Usually it’s play or be played.

Completely feel that. I try to remind myself what’s mine to carry and what’s not. Taking small resets during the day helps too: step outside, breathe, text a friend. Protecting your energy means you’re choosing where best to spend it.

I think, focusing on the overall picture and your own balance is key. Your life includes so much more than Work… The day ends every day… The week ends every week…

Anyone have a referral to an Account Manager role or work somewhere they really like? I have lots of full cycle AE and SDR experience, and transferable skills from prior roles. 6 years in sales, 4 years in tech, 1 year in Fintech. I’m new here, anyone have a hand to lend? Advice? I’m feeling stuck, but that’s a longer post for another day.

If yes, how much one can expect in variable pay for fixed compensation of around 25-30lpa.

How does leveling work for non-tech (non-swe) roles in Google?

Most information online are tech-specific, e.g., entry levels start at L3. Is it different for non-tech? E.g., fresh grads join at L1, 0-2y experience join at l2, etc.
