Oh, they absolutely are. They want high-level or even mid-level employees for entry-level wages. I wonder how they think anybody can live off of what they are offering.
yes. I was going to apply for a receptionist job for an imaging center. they wanted an associate degree.
How can I get experience if everything requires experience!
Thats a good one lolz
I definitely agree with you. I have been looking for a job for six months and can't seem to find anything. It has been beyond frustrating because they require so much and give so little.
Or the ones that say entry level position must have 3-5 years experience. Then it’s not entry level.
Exactly! Entry level means NO experience and you will pay me as such. 3+ years experience means you have to pay me more because I know more. Besides the fact that you usually get more out of people if you pay them a decent wage.
For the last 6 months. I've been struggling to find anything, and it genuinely feels like the most simple places you could apply to are now just. Not wanting people without experience. EVER. Waffle house, McDonald's, Kroger's, circle K I've applied to so many different places and almost never get a response no matter how many times I call.
Yup, they really are. At the same time, what can we do about it? Stores know that a lot of people are out of work and will take what we are offered. It's easy to take advantage of candidates these days.
I have 5.8 years experience doing the job/tasks that potential jobs want......but I dont have a bachelor's degree. So my petition gets denied.
S/N- I've decided to get my bachelor's just because of this.
That is great education, but try to get a job while in college, (The degrees don't seem to help in my case. I even reflected on taking them down from my resume... )
Right here ill do for minum an i don't want to be a mangers they can take the credit
I noticed that as well. Someone will apply especially since the economy is not the best. They are being very desperate and people that have a lot of experience in that particular job field will not apply because the pay is low.
