Sometimes I feel like I've found the perfect candidate and then they reject the offer. It sometimes hurts more than a romantic rejection haha! Just sharing for fun :)

I’ve had this happen a couple of times recently. The one just went completely unresponsive, so we aren’t sure what happened. I know things happen in life, but it does kind of break my heart, too, when people pass on offers that seemed good from both sides.

yes! you get it!

I’m assuming they are rejecting the offer because of salary? I’m not sure why a candidate would go through the entire interview process only to reject an offer unless it was a money issue. If that’s the case, it’s not really your fault it’s your company for setting the budget, right?

We’ve been attending a church for about 6 months now and trying to decide if it’s our church home. The only reason I’m hesitant is because people don’t seem to engage with us as much as I expected. For example, I told the pastors wife about a serious diagnosis we recently received and she did pray for us on the spot, but no one has reached out to us at all to check in. Am I expecting too much?

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
