What stability are you talking about? I'd like some of that.
Keeps me in. Even if I don’t make partner, I’m guaranteed to make over 300k in my service line and I feel like I have next to 0% chance of being let go.
I may be better off financially if I leave, but it’s an unknown and my known trajectory is too good for me to take any additional risk.
Specifically choose the path for stability. If it stops making sense one day, then I’ll consider options, but until then happy to enjoy the mostly smooth sailing.
You read my mind, friend.
I would be open to moving to another organization, and if the job market wasn't so forbidding I would probably be working on that. I'm not sure about pivoting out of accounting entirely. I suppose I might get hit with a mid-life crisis at some point and want to open a business, but for now I'm still seeing stability as a positive feature.
I think the stability is there but it may not be as high as some people think it is.
I'm currently looking at moving into business ownership. That way I bear the risk and reward of my efforts.
