This really resonates. Not moving up doesn’t mean you’re unmotivated—it can mean you’re choosing survival and balance. Constantly pushing while exhausted isn’t ambition, it’s burnout. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this.

Totally get that! sometimes keeping your balance is the most ambitious choice you can make.

Yes indeed. I’m a naturally driven person, so I’ve been lucky to find ppl who have seen that in me and promote me into higher positions. But the responsibility and stress weighs heavy and it’s definitely test your mental, emotional and physical health. I would say…have the ambition and go for it. But establish boundaries, otherwise you’d be like me…burnt out and questioning whether I even love what I do anymore

I hear you, climbing up is exciting, but the weight that comes with it can really hit hard.
It definitely starts to feel that way. It all comes down to what you define as success. I have changed roles for my mental health and not felt one bit bad about it.

Good for you! Honestly, nothing’s worth sacrificing your mental health!
