HC does not equal HR. To frame this differently, you can do HC work for an HR department or to enable an HR technology. But HC work is agnostic to a specific industry, function, or technology
D2 is right. Now if you're in HRT, that is much more HR focused. But OT is not.
Thoughts?
Can you provide more context? Are you already aligned to HC and looking to get out?
Also this lol ^
I am currently in HC, HRT more specifically. I’ve recently began my search to transition out of the company, but finding it difficult to know what type of jobs to look for. Everyone always assumes I want to be in HR.
I’ve had friends at analyst level recently exit to law school, grad school, non-profits, F-500 Corp Strategy, boutique consulting, other big 4, etc. I think it comes down to hustle and how you frame your experience. One HRT analyst I know lost his visa and six months later got an analyst role at a VC firm back home in Singapore. You should easily be able to find an analyst/entry role in all kinds of industries or other consulting firms
I’m in HC and have never done HR work. I’ll probably shift to employee experience work soon though, but am looking forward to it.
